My pastor gave encouragement, saying that "The Christian life is not difficult, it's impossible." He then, went on to explain how, but I think the concept overlaps with Owen's here.

Oh, man - the Christian life is totally impossible! I stink out loud at it!! Praise the mighty Lord for His preservation of me in the faith...His grace and mercy...the cross.
