This voice she hears in the fields, in the sough of the wind among the trees, when measured and distant sounds fall upon her ears.

-- Ernest Renan, The Poetry of the Celtic Races
It has such a lilting, wistful sound, doesn't it? It's simply beautiful. It stirs the Romantic heart in me.

Ironically, I found this - sentence? poem? line? - at dictionary.com in their word of the day archive. I'm a Nerdy Romantic.

There are things you can say through poetry that can't be said any other way. Nice post.

So, I'm trying to conjure up an equally random riposte to that tidbit of Gaelic information...and I got nothing (if anyone has any suggestions - feel free to jump in at any time).
:)
But as in response to the latter portion of your comment -- late oct?? YESSS!!!
I mean, ahem, I can pencil you in, I suppose...
;)

Ha-ha. Yeah, so when are you thinkin' in oct? It's pretty much all open for me...
(Though I am so bummed that you can't make it for the DG conf. - have I said that already??) But if you are thinking the end of oct, it'd be cool if you got to make it for project night - we could crochet it up! :)

Jen -
Late oct. sounds brilliant. I totally want to crochet it up.

I'm going to pierce my nose again.

Frank -
Jealousy gets you no where.

I always think of piercing my nose when I mention crocheting.
Oh wait...
Ha-ha. Yeah, I didn't see the connection - but if there was none...well, more power to ya, I suppose. You do have a way with randomness, I must say... :)

Ha! Frank, you're funny.
